The Sydney (Australia) Morning Herald has run what amounts to a "right to claim" notice, overnight, involving Merck's Vioxx® -- and the potential for elevated CV risks -- in any of the local arthritis patients who once took the drug (it was withdrawn, worldwide in 2004):
. . . .The Federal Court of Australia ordered [the plaintiffs' lawfirm] to advertise in newspapers this week to tell potential claimants they only have until August 25, 2010 to register claims or risk missing out on compensation.
So far more than 350 people Australia-wide have registered. . . .
