Brrrr! But Well-Worth It! The Turnout -- Of About 1,000 -- Was Impressive For The Negative 15 Wind-Chills...

So -- to be certain, Dr. King would have willingly braved the cold, as well.

And you may see the helicopter footage on local Chicago news stations' online feeds -- and you'll realize that this one is far short of the perhaps 200,000 who turned out in the city of big shoulders (that legacy video appears below), when the protests, of Tangerine's first inaugural were held. But it was not "get frost-bite in ten minutes" outside weather -- on that 2017 morning.

Our local Chicago laws have been upheld in the US Supreme Court, from last time around. There was training for those in attendance, prior to the march. You see, inside our city limits, and inside my township just north of it, local law enforcement has the right, and will act -- to enforce it. . . to turn the ICE raiders off of the streets. And these local volunteer forces, aided by local law enforcement (if need be) will guide ALL PERSONS (regardless of undocumented status), to walk peaceably, quietly and safely away from any ICE raid, to the nearest church.

Once inside the church, ICE will be trespassing if they enter. And they will be arrested.

Here's a bit of today's rundown -- and these are my photos. . . I'll not bore the readership with all the video, but it is on YouTube:

. . .Thousands protest in Chicago as Trump takes office. . . .

Activists and immigrant rights groups gathered in Chicago Monday to protest the inauguration of President Donald Trump, calling for unity and vowing to fight Trump’s policies. . . .

Onward, resolutely. Onward. And here was the early 2018 version:
