NASA has now provided an update -- but will not name the specific astronaut still hospitalized, nor the nature of the malady -- to protect privacy.
But there was some medical concern, after Crew-8's splashdown. Here's that update:
. . .After safely splashing down on Earth as part of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-8 mission Friday, a NASA astronaut experienced a medical issue. NASA astronauts Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt, and Jeanette Epps, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin were flown together to Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola in Florida.
After medical evaluation at the hospital, three of the crew members departed Pensacola and have arrived at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.
The one astronaut who remains at Ascension is in stable condition under observation as a precautionary measure. To protect the crew member’s medical privacy, specific details on the individual’s condition or identity will not be shared. . . .
However, Musk's X-itter amplification of absolutely false MAGA stories/memes -- that one address in rural Pennsylvania voted fraudulently 52 times. . . for that, I WILL excoriate him.
He is a political hack -- and a sadly well-heeled one. He should know better -- the address is a convent -- 52 aging Roman Catholic nuns live at one address. They all early voted, the Mother Superior has confirmed. But Musk is so rabidly deranged. . . he burped up a Tweet that said his "investigators" knocked on doors -- and found the place. . . [purportedly] abandoned.
No one answered because the Sisters were at cloistered Vespers -- the evening's hushed "in Latin" prayers -- and no one sits at a front desk, after hours. That is for the nuns' safety -- the doors are locked, and lights are turned off. Geez-la-Wheez, Elon -- put a sock in it. Defaming nuns?! What a feckless. . . putz. Out.
