I continue to believe the rules require / contemplate that he be sentenced Thursday, as scheduled -- and the new trial motion be argued and briefed, on a separate schedule -- along with any appeal from the sentence, or verdict more broadly. Updated: Thursday is still sentencing, per the able Judge. End, update.
We shall see -- but I strongly suspect Trump hasn't the dry powder, speaking politically, to pardon or commute this crook.
And I am certain the able judge has had her fill of his flaunting of her repeated, and increasingly specific orders.
As I've said before -- I'd expect a sentence of about five years. Karma. . . she took a minute -- in his case -- but she is arriving, and in style, to boot. A style befitting his. . . endless mendacity. Of course, there will be appeals -- but normally, he'd have to at least begin his sentence -- even during the appeals. Onward.
