We haven't updated the readership (that's from four months ago, now) on the NuvaRing® settled MDL in quite a while -- and just yesterday, the court set a teleconference status call for the end of this month.
That order, in full is as follows:
. . . .IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that a teleconference is set in this matter on August 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Central Time. The parties shall file a proposed agenda no later than August 29, 2017.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Counsel who wish to participate in the status conference are directed to call the conference toll free at 1-888-684-XXXX from the United States (for callers outside the United States the caller paid international number is 215-446-XXXX). The access code to enter the telephone conference for all participants is: XXXXXXX. Counsel will then be prompted to enter the participant security code: XXXX followed by the # (pound) key. This conference will be activated at 10:45 a.m. so the conference may start promptly at 11:00 a.m. Counsel who are not participating and are just monitoring the conference must mute their phones so the proceeding is not interrupted by background noise. . . .
Now you know -- on a somber morning for Barcelona, and the planet. Each of us must no longer wait for our elected representatives to act, or lead. We must engage in small acts of leadership by kindness, by ourselves, every day -- nation-wide, now. We have no moral compass, in our leadership -- in the executive branch, at the office of commander in chief. That is a simple fact.

Man oh man (I hear you, Anon.) -- Darth Vader is out. . . And even "Ar-hhhh-nold" (the "once and former Philistine" of a GOP California Governor) is now telling 45 off, in blunt terms. Additionally, Mitt Romney is saying 45 owes us ALL -- the whole nation, an apology. . . that the white-supremacists were "100 per cent responsible for the violence" in Charlottesville.
So -- I think it is less "winning" than it is. . . "surviving" a war of attrition, here.But I will take it. 45 may not get to see even one Christmas, at 1600 Penn, at this rate. . . .
For my part, I cannot wait to see what Tina Fey will say on SNL's "Weekend Update" (sheet cake from the estimable U Va. grad, anyone?), come this Saturday night.
