Monday Morning Meteorology Update: As The Fearsome Pair Of Eyes Dissolve, West Of Hawaii... Surf's Up!

A few days ago, we had worried about these twin hurricane eyes, bearing down on the big island. That threat has largely passed, leaving locals (like Steve Knobbe) with some choice sets.

Now well beyond my ken, but very pretty to look at, just the same. [Local coverage, -- and a bit, below.] Happy Labor Day, one and all.

. . . .All hurricane watches for Oahu, Maui, Lanai, Molokai and Kahoolawe were cancelled early Saturday as the storm tracked north of Hawaii. Hurricane Madeline threatened the Big Island earlier in the week but was downgraded to a tropical storm and passed without causing major damage. . . .

Do take excellent care of one another, truly. And do. . . enjoy this time on our glassy blue ball. . . it passes too soon. . . Notting Hill is on. . . Smile. . . .
