CEO Hassan -- On Health-System Costs: Fish. Barrel. Shoot.

This is rich (quite literally!) -- in NASDAQ-published remarks today, Schering-Plough CEO Hassan wants people who "add cost" to the health-care delivery system to "contribute more" in health care reform efforts, thus:

. . . .Schering-Plough Corp. (SGP) Chief Executive Fred Hassan echoed that sentiment, arguing in favor of taxes on sugary soft drinks, and even suggested that people engaged in unhealthy living should be required to contribute more to the cost of health care than those with healthier lifestyles.

"I feel if they're adding to the cost of the system, there has to be a level of responsibility," Hassan said. . . .

Let's see -- with his coming "Ultra-Gilded Parachute", CEO Hassan has very-likely added $173 million to the cost of delivering health care, as "New" Merck/Schering-Plough will need to make enough net profit to cover these payments -- in the coming months, and years.

Hey Fred -- your "responsibility payment" has been calculated. It is $173 million.

It is due by April 15, 2010.

All the best,

The 44th President of the United States,
and 2009 Nobel Peace Price Winner

Can anyone recommend the top Network Management software for a small IT service company like mine? Does anyone use Kaseya.com or GFI.com? How do they compare to these guys I found recently: N-able N-central database monitoring
? What is your best take in cost vs performance among those three? I need a good advice please... Thanks in advance!
