Trump tried to stop the project, unless Sen. Schumer (D., NY) and others would vote to rename the tunnel as the Trump Tunnel.

Matthew Russell Lee informs us that USDC Judge Vargas has given Trump two days, if it wishes to file an appeal in the Second Circuit -- of the TRO:
...Stay Pending Appeal is DENIED because of the irreparable harm the States and the public interest will suffer in the absence of immediate relief to Plaintiffs. The Court does, however, GRANT an administrative stay until February 12, 2026, at 5:00 pm, to allow Defendants time to file and receive decision on a motion for a stay in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals....
But work may continue on the project, regardless. Funding will resume come Wednesday.
