[U] This Friday: Status Hearing -- In Music City Federal Court, Before Judge Crenshaw...

While I was off-grid, the able USDC Judge Crenshaw in Nashville ruled that is it "plausible" that Noem / Miller / Trump brought the supposed criminal case against Mr. Abrego Garcia in Tennessee to punish him -- for having the temerity to simply assert his right [to be free from torture, and/or summary kidnapping -- to a series of El Salvadoran torture prisons, by Noem].

We noted that astonishing opinion here -- it is plainly correct. . . but astonishing, that a very capable long serving federal judge has ruled that the US Government intentionally sought a lawless retribution campaign against him, after being embarrassed before the United States Supreme Court. We are fairly certain Friday's proceedings will just touch on which witnesses his lawyers may depose, and for how many days / hours -- to seek proof of discriminatory motives.

So we are unlikely to fly down Friday, as it all may only last 15 minutes. And there will be a prompt written on the record order, as to the outcome, in any event -- certainly by Monday the 14th.

Separately, U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis in Maryland “said on Monday that she was inclined to release Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, the Maryland man now being held in U.S. immigration custody after wrongfully being removed to El Salvador, if the federal government cannot quickly produce evidence it has plans to deport him soon,” according to SCOTUSBlog, quting The New York Times reporting. She “expressed exasperation” at lawyers for the Justice Department, who said on Monday that they had little evidence to share regarding deportation plans for Abrego Garcia. . . .

As to Nashville -- we have theater tickets Friday night. . . and I don't want to miss that. Onward, smiling.
