More Briefs Due Monday, At Noon (Means Weekend Work!) In SF -- As To The Effect Of The Ninth Cir. Stay On The Prelim. Inj., In Newsom v. Trump...

Yes, this is the "National Guard in LA" / lawlessness case.

The preeminent USDC Judge Breyer in SF held a "show cause" hearing yesterday. It was very short, since the Ninth Circuit has stayed his injunction order, at least temporarily.

But he likely asked for briefs on whether the general trial level proceedings should continue -- to move toward resolving the merits of whether Tangerine 2.0 (acting alone) possesses the power he claims, when disinvited by state police power executives.

Here's that. We will post those briefs -- as they arrive:

. . .Full docket text for document 89:

Minute Entry for proceedings held before Judge Charles R. Breyer: Show Cause Hearing held on 6/20/2025. Counsel shall submit supplemental briefing by June 23, 2025 at Noon (12:00 p.m. PST). (Total Time in Court: 11 Minutes)

Court Reporter: Ana Dub. . . .

Onward, resolutely.
