[U: Status Hearing Over -- Daily Updates Now, By Order (Courtesy Anon).] This Is NOW Straying Into Willful Obstruction Of Justice -- By Noem, And ICE/DHS And Rubio And Tangerine... It Deserves A New Post.

Update: the 1 PM EDT hearing is over. There was no audio feed; and the minute order is sealed for only attorneys' eyes at the moment. I'll scout around and see if anyone live-blogged from inside Xinis's courtroom -- but we may have to wait until Monday to find out what comes next. If this man dies. . . over the weekend, or after -- that blood will be 100% avoidable -- and 100% on Trump's and Kristi Noem's grubby lil' hands. As Xinis said this morning -- they now "blink at reality". . . that is, they. . . openly. . . lie. Damn. End update.

They are. . . Sargeant Shultz, it seems.

They. . . "know nuthin'!" I won't link their insipid, apparently endless, and depraved BS. It is straying into. . . obstruction:

. . .Defendants are unable to provide the information requested by the Court on the impracticable deadline set by the Court hours after the Supreme Court issued its order. . . .

[The goofs then assert FALSELY that USDC Judge Xinis, in this] Court has not yet clarified what it means to “facilitate” or “effectuate” the return as it relates to this case, as Plaintiff is in the custody of a foreign sovereign [no. . . it is a private contract prison, you dolts]. Defendants request -- and require -- the opportunity to brief that issue prior to being subject to any compliance deadlines. . . . [These idiots cannot "require" a federal court to do. . . anything. Damn.]

Defendants are not in a position where they “can” share any information requested by the Court. That is the [manufactured] reality. Defendants received the order late in the evening last night. They are reviewing the order and actively evaluating next steps. [But what about his physical staus, and safety? The Supremes have ordered a report on THAT!]

It is unreasonable and impracticable for Defendants to reveal potential steps before those steps are reviewed, agreed upon, and vetted. Foreign affairs [which these. . . PLAINLY ARE NOT!] cannot operate on judicial timelines, in part because it involves sensitive country-specific considerations wholly inappropriate for judicial review [Noem kidnapped a man lawfully in the US; then put him in a contract private prison -- that is not "diplomatically" sensitive. Order him returned under the contract.]. . . .

All of the above is obviously mindless bullshit. And it borders on obstruction of a facially-clear, plain English court order, entered last night -- to provide an update on his well-being, and safety. They haven't even made a phone call, it seems.

Stay tune for 1 PM Eastern. Onward, resolutely. Dammit.

Thanks! Super helpful -- utterly unlike Kristi Noem's minions:

". . .Xinis’ new directive requires the daily updates to come from an administration official with “personal knowledge” of efforts to return Abrego Garcia to the United States. But Justice Department officials said they may not be prepared to comply with her demands until at least Monday. . . ."
