Team Tangerine had wanted late 2026. That was never in the cards. He's just another multi-felonies indictee, on the federal DC docket now.
And perhaps ironically, his own claims about (a trial -- on his own conduct!) harming his campaign chances. . . militated very strongly AGAINST waiting. This way, he's on a standard fast track -- and if he's to be believed(!), he will be cleared by early April 2024. Riiiiight.
. . .USDC Judge Chutkan just said the court’s calendar isn’t going to be beholden to Trump’s political and personal schedule. . . .
Chutkan, J.: “Mr. Trump, like any other person, will have to make the trial date work, like any other felony defendant. . . . The public has a right to a prompt and efficient resolution of this matter. . . .”
As I've said many times before here, but especially so, now on the sixtieth anniversary of the March. . . "Go ahead, Tangerine -- f-around. . . and. . . find out. . . ." See ya' in DC on the morning of. . . March 4, man.
