In A 1960s-Style Move, Amazon Now Seeks To Delay Trial/ALJ Hearings, By Moving To Lump Disparate Violations... Into One Big Proceeding...

I think it highly likely the able ALJ will not fall for it.

The JFK-8 matters are distinct from the Alabama ones, and so on (not much efficiency gained, from waiting to lump them all -- into one). And meanwhile, the actual line workers' rights hang in limbo -- unrecognized by Amazon, despite winning an election, about 2-to-1. The main Amazon goal here, is to. . . stall. It won't work, but here is the NLRB General Counsel's opposition, and a bit:

. . .Your Honor should not permit Respondent to indefinitely delay these proceedings by granting motions to consolidate cases that are factually distinct and do not involve the re-litigation of any specific [matter].

This will result in an unacceptable delay in remedying any potential violations of the Act. . . .

And, ominously, in footnote four to the GC's opposition, we read that "The Region is also investigating four (4) additional unfair labor practice charges filed by employees working at other locations in Queens, New York. . ." Now you know. This is. . . an Earthquake, followed by a Tsunami. . . . [And yes, I am running out of superlative-ish metaphors, for this unprecedented moment -- in the last 70 or so years.]
