Real Lady A Trademark Case Schedule Update -- Proposed, In Nashville: Settlement Being Discussed.

This will be. . . interesting.

Ms. White will establish that she lacks the minimum ongoing jurisdictional contacts with Nashville, so that the country group will have to transfer the matter to Seattle, and make it part of / subsume it into Ms. White's affirmative suit there. As the able Judge in Tennessee mulls that possibility, the parties will discuss monetary settlements, through December 10, 2020 (final order here). I like the Real Lady A's chances, under the proposed agreed order in the district court, in Nashville:

. . . .On November 23, 2020, Ms. White shall appear (virtually) to give her deposition as set forth in the Court’s Corrected Order (Docket No. 41, pp. 2-4).

Between November 23, 2020 and December 10, 2020, the parties -- along with their respective counsel -- shall complete their first substantive attempt at settlement. . . .

By December 17, 2020, the parties shall submit a joint case resolution status report confirming their first substantive attempt at settlement. The contents of such report shall be as set forth in the Court’s Initial Case Management Order. . . .

Onward, grinning -- off for a bike ride under a flawless 75 degree, yellow leaves-dappled sky -- unheard of -- for nearly mid-November, in Chicago.
