[U, X2] A Different Memorial Day, This Time Around...

The below above is tomorrow's New York Times front page -- all text; no photos. Updated -- the frothy right (ever claiming "Scam-demic") says name number six, on the NYT list (though he tested positive for COVID), was a murder victim, by gunshot. I propose that we each post one name, to add to the list then. A clearly bonafied name. Below is my contribution. End, update.

This will be our memorial day, 2020 version -- in the time of COVID-19 (and just one truly representative name):

. . . .Hecky Powell, 71, Evanston, Illinois, ETHS graduate, philanthropist, barbeque restaurant genius, community activist, former local NAACP chapter president, provider of hundreds of college scholarships -- and jobs training programs for youth not intent on a college track. . . .

The Gray Lady only lists one per cent of the dead, so far, in the US. [BTW, Trump went golfing today -- this is the president's 357^th visit to one of his properties and his 265^th trip to one of his golf clubs during his presidency.] Onward.
