Encouraging -- But A Lil' Shy Of The Mark... Judges Don't "Ask." Not When Kids Are In DANGER.

At some point on Saturday evening, the New York Times put up a longish story on the able Judge Dolly Gee's Friday evening order.

The word is. . . ORDER. Ahem. From the story:

. . . .Judge Dolly M. Gee of the Central District of California ASKED late on Friday that an independent monitor, whom she appointed last year, ensure that conditions in detention centers are promptly addressed. . . .

The USDC judge did not ask. She ordered. This matters. Children's lives are literally hanging in the balance. Do better, Gray Lady.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk®.
