The hearing -- in the Dirksen federal building yesterday -- as expected, ended with USDC Judge Kness just kicking the can down the alley. This should be dismissed, and ruled in favor of Evanston -- so the City of Evanston may sue both the crisis actors, and the US Attorney Boutros -- for the attorneys' fees it is wasting -- in defending this nonsense.
Here's the latest:
. . .MINUTE entry before the Honorable John F. Kness:
Telephonic status hearing held on 10/29/2026. The parties addressed Defendant City of Evanston's motion to bifurcate discovery [45].
The motion is taken under advisement.
As stated on the record, discovery remains stayed pending further order. . . .
Now you know. Onward.
