No Surprise. Tangerine 2.0 Is Vastly UN-Popular. Y A W N.

Glibly saying things like "we will just keep bombing our little hearts out". . . in reference to his Iran war of choice / quagmire in the making (as though it is all some goofy made-for-TV drama) are certain to drop his approvals, all the more -- later this week.

Even so, his inability to govern his tongue in an adult fashion. . . is a feature not a bug, to the (ever dwindling) faithful.

Here's the latest, from YouGov polling:

. . .Donald Trump hit a new low in net job approval for his second term in this week's Economist / YouGov poll. 38% of Americans strongly or somewhat approve of Trump's job performance, while 59% disapprove -- a record high disapproval for this term.

Trump's net approval of -21 for handling his job as president is the second lowest he has received in an Economist / YouGov Poll, after a survey in November 2017 (also -21, slightly lower than this week before rounding). . . .

[And from Nate Silver, direct:] In a recent YouGov/Yahoo News poll, just 27 percent of Americans approved of Trump’s handling of gas prices. AAA has the national average gas price at $3.88, nearly $1 more per gallon than one month ago ($2.93). As we wrote a few weeks ago, that increase could spell real trouble for Trump. . . .

Onward, to a better day, tomorrow -- and to floating, once again -- for two hours, in an isolation salt-water tank, by week's end ["Altered States", anyone?]. . . .
