And now, about twelve days later, the current rumor mill has it that Rahway is ending talks -- with Revolution Medicines -- now in its rearview mirror.

That may be accurate -- as the rumored price would have been around $32 billion. For his part, the CEO of Revolution, Mark Goldsmith, said it would take "over $30 billion" to get them -- while taking a firm "no comment" on any specific talks (that might be pending).

Easy come; easy go:

The newspaper said it was possible talks could restart or another suitor for Revolution could emerge. . . .
