Then-Commander John H. Glenn said (regarding his Mercury Redstone Friendship 7 orbits): ". . .if the girls say the numbers are right -- then I'm good to go. . . ." And those pioneering STEM girls of color did say the numbers were right -- and he was "good to go." So he did -- right into the history books.
