Merck CFO Peter Kellogg: At Cowen, In Boston, Tomorrow Morning -- Not Likely To Release Anything Material

I say that with high confidence because he will be offering his remarks during the NYSE's regular trading hours.

He is scheduled for 9:20 AM, in Boston. Within 10 minutes of his allotted opening remarks, the NYSE will be open. So -- I'd not expect anything big, from him. And, it is too early to expect any real news on purported Consumer Health counter-parties, and/or structures, as well. From the press release, then:

. . . .Merck, known as MSD outside the United States and Canada, announced today that Peter N. Kellogg, executive vice president and chief financial officer, Merck is scheduled to present at the Cowen Healthcare Conference in Boston on March 5, 2014 at 9:20 a.m. EST. Investors, analysts, members of the media and the general public are invited to join a live webcast of the presentation. . . .

The logistical headaches of getting a halt on the NYSE are almost never worth the effort. If any Fortune 100 company has something truly material to say, they will say it when the markets are closed in the US -- as a rule. [I suppose it is possible that a massive press release would come out at 6:30 AM tomorrow, Eastern (and then Mr. Kellogg would elaborate on it, at 9:20 AM), but I wouldn't bet the ranch on it.] I'll listen in, just the same. Be excellent to one another. Me? I'm bouncin'. . . to get a workout in.
