The federal lobbying reports covering Q3 2010 are starting to roll in, so I thought I'd update where we stand thus far, with only nine firms reporting. Last quarter, Merck used some 17 firms, paying a total of $3.1 million. To this point, the first nine to report (or a little more than half of the likely universe of such retained firms) have aggregated more than $2.413 million -- up sharply. From the Senate's disclosure website, then as of this Friday afternoon:
. . . .Q3 2010 Total: $2,413,510
Of course, we'll redo the graphic when the full amount is disclosed, later in the month, or early next.
