Merck's Post-Trial Motions -- In Boles II Fosamax® ONJ $8 Million Loss -- Due Monday, July 19, 2010

Entirely apart from any attorney conduct proceedings [next hearing on that, on August 10, 2010], Merck has been granted one additional day -- to Monday -- to file its 35 pages of post-trial papers challenging the Boles II Fosamax^® ONJ jury verdict.

I expect a motion to set aside or reduce the jury's verdict, a motion for judgment in spite of the jury verdict, a request for a new trial and a series of appeals to the next court, on perceived errors of law, and errors in the jury instructions.

We'll see.

I also expect that the jury's verdict will stand -- but be slightly reduced -- at some future date.
