Do go read Jim's piece, here -- on the tripling of the number of lawsuits that allege blood clots resulted from use of the legacy Schering-Plough (nee Organon) NuvaRing® birth control drug/device:

High estrogen doses create a greater risk of blood clots, which can be fatal. . . .
An earlier East Texas press report may be found here. We'll keep an eye on this, but as of now, it is barely material to New Merck's financial results. I guess the trend-line is troubling, though.
