We also learn -- almost comically -- from Schering's recently filed Form 10-Q, that the Chairman of the Compensation Committee of Schering-Plough's Board of Directors received the fewest votes for retention -- of any director:
. . . .Hans W. Becherer received 1,364,103,512 votes for his election (93.93% of shares voted) and 88,086,331 votes were withheld (6.07% of shares voted). . . .
For his part, CEO Fred Hassan received 1,417,219,453 votes for his election (97.59% of shares voted) and 34,970,390 votes were withheld (2.41% of shares voted).
We wonder if this, or this had anything to do with Mr. Becherer's relatively-poor showing.
