Merck v. Merck Status Call Delayed To December 1, 2022; White-Out In The Forecast... Through Monday Night.
So, as a likely denial of summary judgment motion opinion is being finalized (and possibly partially redacted) in New Jersey federal court (in this name dispute / Lanham Act litigation that, in one form or another, has been going on for decades). . . the able judge just delayed a status call set for the end of this week -- to December 1. I would imagine he wants the parties to have seen, and been able to analyze, this likely denial of a pre-trial decision on the merits.
But whether I'm right about that or not -- in any event, the parties won't be back before him before December 1 -- having said last month that there is no hope of settlement. So pre-trial stuff coming soon.
And, while it is in the middle-70s here this afternoon -- and a gloriously sunny fall day, out on the water. . . in about 22 hours, I'll be in the mountain. . . snows. [Jets are quite a great invention.]
White-out conditions forecast for parts of the higher Rockies. . . and. . . I cannot wait to see. . . my mom! So the blog will also likely be buried under full white-out conditions (no posts) -- from now until Monday night, late. Or Tuesday morning, even perhaps. That's the forecast. Grin. Be excellent to one another, for we are all we've got. . . .And... a very happy 43rd trip round the Sun to you, madamoiselle. . . enjoy! As Cynthia says... I'll just have to... wait.
